Life

Edward J. Repka, born October 22, 1960, and raised in New York, is known for his dedication to his artworks of famous metal albums, specifically of Thrash and Death metal genres. He also designs shirts usually revolving said bands, and works for the National Entertainment Collectibles Association as their lead painter and head of art direction.

Famous Works

Ed Repka is greatly acknowledged for giving Thrash metal it's spooky imagery during it's debut and rise in popularity. His most notable work is 'Rust in Peace' by Thrash metal band Megadeth. He also previously made another album cover for Megadeth, known as 'Peace Sells' in 1986. He has also worked with other metal bands such as Death, Dark Angel, Toxik, and much much more.

Ed Repka once admitted that he isn't much of a Thrash metal fan, he admits he is more into punk rock bands such as 'Misfits'. Ed Repka's artwork is greatly appreciated everywhere by metal fans, and it was even once used on a guitar used by Dave Mustaine of Megadeth.
